Happy holidays
InMarketing This Week is taking a break and will be back on 19 January 2025.

I hope this note finds you safe and snug, sipping your coffee by a roaring fire somewhere wonderful. As 2024 begins to draw to a close, it’s only natural to reflect on a year that’s seemed tougher than most - for the world, for markets, and for too many of the people I hold dear. That said, I leave 2024 filled with optimism for the future - and I hope you do too. I’m convinced that 2025 is going to be a very different kind of year.
Until IMTW returns, I leave you with these, the five most popular posts of the last 12 months.
One fell swoop: It's better to be late and right than early and wrong.
Marketing vs marketing: All your marketing should ultimately drive growth.
Baby with the bath water: A distinctive brand asset is invaluable. It should be rejuvenated, never jettisoned.
Be prepared: The Scouts can teach us the most important lesson about crisis communications.
Being boring: Financial marketers should resist the urge to be cool.
Wishing you and your loved ones a restful holiday and a peaceful new year,
